Busta Rhymes Confirms Title Of Upcoming Album, 'Year Of The Dragon'

Busta Rhymes released his first album, The Coming, in 1996. Sixteen years later, Busta has announced the title of his ninth album.

Taking to Twitter, Busta confirmed Elliott Wilson's statement that Busta's newest album would be titled Year of The Dragon.

The title is a reference to one of Busta's monikers, the "Dungeon Dragon," which is also a reference to A Tribe Called Quest's song "Scenario," which features Rhymes. Additionally, it is currently the Year of the Dragon in the Chinese zodiac calendar.

Lil Scrappy is out of jail, for the time being. Scrappy turned himself into Atlanta police on Tuesday (April 23) after a warrant had been issued for his arrest.

Now that he's got his own degree program at USC, Dr. Dre is ready to get back to music. "I'm more inspired to go back into the studio now," Dr. Dre says in an interview with LA Weekly. "Beats is rolling, this [USC] thing is happening, and it's incredible. Now I'm ready to go back to my first love."

Dre says that the USC program, the USC Jimmy Iovine and Andre Young Academy for Arts, Technology and the Business of Innovation that he and longtime business partner Iovine donated $70 million to create, will not impact his work on his much-delayed Detox album, though he's not working on that project in particular right now.
