Big K.R.I.T. Says He Wants To Prove That He'll 'Be Around Forever' With 'Cadillactica'

While speaking with Hip Hop Since 1987, Meridian, Mississippi rapper Big K.R.I.T. spoke in-depth about his upcoming album, Cadillactica. In regards to his goal with the project, K.R.I.T. says he hopes to go far outside of any box he’s ever been put in in his music career.

The rapper later revealed that he plans on making music so relatable and timeless with Cadillactica that he’ll “be around forever.”

DMX Pays Off $250,000 Mortgage To Prevent Foreclosure

According to court documents published by The Jasmine Brand, DMX has paid off the mortgage for a house in Westchester County, NY where his ex-wife Tashera Simmons and their four children live. Mortgage payments on the house went unpaid for just under four years before DMX reportedly paid the remaining sum of $258,927.87.

DMX initially purchased the Mount Kisco, NY property in 2000 for $649,000 before multiple stints in jail early in the decade. The rapper and his wife Tashera Simmons filed for divorce in 2012 after 14 years of marriage.

Ja Rule Details Unreleased Group Tracks With Jay Z & DMX

After performing a set at Def Jam’s 30th Anniversary Concert in Brooklyn last week, Ja Rule spoke with MTV about his career and collaborations with Jay Z and DMX. Recalling early plans to record a group album under the Murder Inc. group moniker, Ja Rule admitted that there is likely unreleased material from that recording period.

“We tried to deliver that album,” he said of working alongside Jay Z and DMX. “It was a situation where egos all just played a part in its demise. We couldn’t get X and Jay in the same room, from long ago, their storied battle on the pool table, guns out and all of that.

Jhene Aiko says that working with Childish Gambino comes natural because their creativity balances each other out. Childish Gambino appeared on “Bed Peace” from Aiko’s Sail Out EP. He also directed the video for “The Pressure” from her debut album, Souled Out.

“I think that me and Donald work so well together because we both have different creative minds,” the singer says in an interview with Radio.com. “But they complement each other. But it’s like I think we both, we think of things differently just even our whole thought process about regular things are so different but they’re so complementary to one another so when it comes to working together, it just it works.”
